2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 10

10 weeks without missing post time. (Okay - by only 2 minutes once, but still) Definitely doing better than last year.

We've got a trio of returning artists for this week's selections, starting with another piece from Mike Ludlow on our Classic Pin-Ups Calendar -

Enoch Bolles returns (yet) again for our Covers Calendar with Redhead Mistress painted for the March 1924 issue of Snappy Stories -

For a bonus this week, we've got an unused, more risque variant painting for the cover -

After our two non-nude nudes, we go to arguably the greatest pin-up calendar artist, Gil Elvgren, for a bit of actual nude with our Blue Monday Calendar -

Now wasn't that worth waiting for?

As always, the calendars are sized to print 8"x10" at 150dpi, with 1" square spaces for notations.

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 09

You might think that after posting Saturday Morning Toons yesterday that i'd realize today was Sunday. Well, i realize it now - with about 11 minutes left, and less than 15 before this post is supposed to go live.

Fortunately, i've got a few prepped and ready, just need the proper dates. But that means we just get the minimum this week - one of each of our 3 ongoing calendars.

For the Pin-Up Calendar, another classic composition from Rolf Armstrong -

I believe this is the first in this year's calendars for "Jack" Greiner with the April 1933 Gayety cover our Covers Calendar -

And for our Blue Calendar this week, Zoë Mozert returns with a stark portrait in blue -

As always, the calendars are sized to print 8"x10" at 150dpi, with 1" square spaces for notations.

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 08

Wording still laborious, so tripling up on the imagery instead. Each of our three calendar types gets three calendar pages this week, all three from a single artist.

For our Pin-ups Calendar, a new addition to our roster, Ernest Chiriaka -

Hugh Joseph Ward returns with a trio of Spicy pulps for this week's Covers Calendar -

For our Blue Monday Calendar this week, we have a trio of classic blonde bombshells from the brush of Earl Moran -

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 07

For this week's calendars, let's double up. I don't know - in honor of February and Two-Face or whatever silly excuse we need.

For our Pin-up Calendars, Mike Ludlow returns with a bit of cold weather beauty -

For our second classic Pin-Up Calendar, please welcome Joe De Mers to this year's gathering of artists -

For our Covers Calendars this week, we've got a Spicy pair from Hugh Joseph Ward

If the name H.J. Ward sounds familiar, perhaps it's from the 'original' Batman cover from the February 1936 issue of Spicy Mystery Stories

Finally, for our Blue Monday calendars, a pair of returning artists. Archie Dickens provides our only Valantine's Day calendar...

...and Zoë Mozert returns for a portrait of pure lovliness -

As always, the calendars are sized to print 8"x10" at 150dpi, with 1" square spaces for notations.

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 06

By popular request (Gordie's a popular kind of guy) we lead off this week with another from Edward Runci, the image that served for the template when putting together this year's calendars...

For this week's Cover Calendar, we've got another Enoch Bolles cover from the Film Fun -

It seems like we're leaning heavy on Enoch so far this year. I'll  try to remember to go a different way next week. But, as long as we're here, we've got the original painting for this cover, too -

This week's Blue Monday Calendar brings us a lovely winter image from Ren Wicks -

Yes, we'll be seeing more of Wicks' works.

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 05

This week we've got a few names that'll be very familiar to some and rather obscure to others.

To start off, Edward Runci supplies the artwork for our Pin-Up Calendar -

And we've got Earle Bergey for our Covers Calendar -

For a nice bonus, here's the uncluttered original art for that cover -

For this week's Blue Monday Calendar, we've got plural. Al Buell leads off with a classic beauty...

...but, i just couldn't let the first month pass without at least one from our favorite calendar artist, Gil Elvgren. (Don't fret - i made sure it wasn't a repeat from our 2018 calendar)

Things are warming up here, snow is melting and it's feeling kind of warm out there. I'm going to lean into that feeling...

2020 Blue Monday Calendars - Week 04

In our fine modern entertainment tradition, we're going back to Week 01 of this year's calendars to reboot/recycle/rerun our artists for Week 04. Not the artwork, of course, just the artists.

First up, Henry Clive returns with a bit more classically themed piece in this week's Pin-up Calendar -

And for our Covers Calendar, Enoch Bolles returns, this time with the January 1942 cover of Film Fun -

And Archie Dickens gives us another winter themed pin-up for out Blue Monday Calendar -

We're keeping it very simple this week - just the three basic calendars. Now i'm off to figure out where i parked my brain.

As always, the calendars are sized to print 8"x10" at 150dpi, with 1" square spaces for notations.
